The FIDM Museum & Galleries on FIDM's Los Angeles campus represents a unique resource for contemporary and historic costumes and textiles for educators, students, scholars, and industry personnel. The 11,000 square-foot gallery space spotlights special exhibitions year-round. They range from traveling shows and FIDM student work to FIDM installations and The Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition, which annually features costumes from the previous year's most acclaimed films.

The Museum’s centerpiece is a 12,000-piece collection of costumes, accessories, and textiles — one of the largest of its kind on the West Coast — dating from the 18th Century through today and including couture, ready-to-wear, and film/theater costumes.
